Club Event Photos 2022

Bromley Pageant of Motoring - Sunday June 12th 2022

This year due to the end of covid and the hike in petrol prices, we only had 5 cars on our club Display. I arranged the cars in a V formation with us sitting in the middle. In total we had 2 Lima’s and 3 Kallista’s. The stand was very busy with the members of public looking at our cars and asking questions. In the auto jumble we spotted Henry Cole being filmed for an episode in his next TV series. One of the cars that stood out from all the cars on display was a film car based on the Austin Mini Moke called the Shado Jeep one of 3 used in the 1969 film – Journey to the far side of the Sun, by Gerry Anderson. They were then re-sprayed from silver to Tahiti Blue to be used in the 26 episodes of UFO in 1970. Also produced by Gerry Anderson. They were then lost in time, with this one turning up in a scrap yard in Tenerife where it was purchased and restored.
