Area 12 covers the South-West of England, with members from the counties of Devon and Cornwall, although members from Somerset and further afield often join us.
The Area always has a full calendar of events through out the year. This year is already filling up with a local club event nearly every month.
The Area started about 18 years ago when I bought a 1.6 Kallista (which needed a lot of renovation). I was put in touch with other members in the region and we started meeting monthly. We tried several venues in an effort to reduce the driving distance to the meet. We met for several years at the famous ‘Jamaica Inn’ on Bodmin Moor, however the staff were disinterested and service was not very good, but they did have a roaring log fire.
We have since moved to the ‘Arundel Arms’ in Lifton. The hotel is world renowned for its trout fishing rivers in the locality. The hotel has become accustomed to us and we occasionally have lunch or dinner there. Very good food and service with a price to match.
