“She’s a Winner”

The winners in the National Car Club Awards 2016 were announced at a gala dinner following the NEC Restoration and Classic Car Show and our wonderful Panther Car Club Chairman Val Bridges beat-off all the competition to win the coveted National Car Club Ambassador of the Year award.

The announcement was greeted with, by far, the loudest cheering of the evening and the famous presenter Mike Brewer was very complementary indeed about the huge contribution that Val has made to the world of Classic Cars both here in the UK and Internationally.

With over 180 nominations (and with some categories, like Val’s, receiving over 30 entries) the judging panel must have had a very tough job to determine the winners. We thank them and the sponsors for making it such a brilliant evening of celebration and recognition of ‘The Best of The Best’ in the burgeoning Classic Car fraternity.

Other categories included Outstanding Club Magazine of the Year, Outstanding Club Website, Outstanding Car Club Event (which the PCC won at last year’s National Classic Car Show) and the Volvo Owners Club won the National Car Club of the Year award.

So Panther, as one of the most active and fastest growing Classic Car Clubs, have so much to aim for at the next major international event in November.

I am sure many of you will want to send your congratulations to Val who continues to tirelessly promote the PCC at every opportunity and has now officially been recognised as the National Car Club Ambassador of the Year.
