Bromley Pageant of Motoring
Sunday June 9th 2013

This year our club stand was moved to the other half of the showground nearer to the main arena. We were one of the first stands that the public came across as they entered the show from the public car park. Our stand area was a bit larger than in previous years so we had to spread the cars out to fill the space. I had 12 cars booked to come but the Deville had to pull out at the last minute, so that left 3 Lima’s and 8 Kallista’s. With the tent pitched in the middle of the stand the cars were parked all around with the 4 red Kallista’s parked at 45° to the corners and the rest filled in between. Roz was soon in to cooking the Quorn/Bacon Rolls for everyone. The day was rather chilly with a strong wind and the 2 people who decided to wear shorts soon wished that they had not. As usual the variety of food supplied for the lunch was fantastic and a big thank you to everyone. The show seemed to be busier than previously and we could get to the main arena and stalls easier, we noticed that the public had to queue for 100m to get in to the show ground. This year we had 2 Kallista’s making their Bromley debut with 1 being its first club event since joining last year. This car had just been re-trimmed and looked great. Many thanks to all who came and supported this show.
