The Darling Buds  of May show takes place at Buzz Farm, Pluckley near Ashford in Kent where the  TV series was filmed and is the only time the farm is open to the public. Pop  Larkin’s yellow Rolls Royce made an appearance and around the farm house there  were a few craft stalls and a small autojumble. There was an arena where cars  were driven around and the owners gave a brief history of their pride and joy.
This year the  show organizers had access to more fields so they had introduced a 1980’s zone  which is why we could enter a club stand. I booked in 8 cars but only 6 turned  up on the day 1 had dropped out in the week the other must have looked at the  wet weather outside their house and not set out in the end we only had a few 5  minute showers at the show. While walking around the show I spotted a friend  for IL Piccolo. (our mini Panther). While back on our stand we noticed a yellow  and black Kallista arrive over on the other side of the field. So over I went  with a club leaflet for them. As I approached I noticed that it was a French  car part of a French classic car club that had bought over 20 different classic  cars on a day trip. Many thanks to George, Tony, Bruce, Lou, Jim, Lin, Steve,  Sharon and Bernard who attended the show
