Hi all
I’m finally resurrecting Area 6 monthly meet after a long layoff.
We are staying with the old format of the third Sunday in the month from 12.30 onwards, unless there are any shows or club activities which clash with it, so it’s always wise to check if you are making an impromptu visit.
We are also going back to our old haunt, (The Nags Head) bearing in mind that as we have not been there for several years things may have changed making it no longer suitable, so it’s a case of watch this space. For any new members it’s worth noting that Panthers are optional so even if your car is off the road you are still more than welcome. Sometimes new member’s partners are reluctant to come along as they feel out of place not knowing anyone and everyone is just talking Cars (which isn’t the case) cos they’re quite a friendly bunch really, and at the very least it gets you out of cooking Sunday lunch.

Obviously it goes without saying that it isn’t restricted to Essex owners as all members are always welcome.

South East Area News - Phyllis Tuckwell Motor Show

We have decided to make a return visit to the Phyllis Tuckwell Motor Show on Sunday 11th August 2024 at Churt, in Surrey. Near to the Hindhead Tunnel on the A3. 

This is a charity show raising funds for the hospice, taking place in the grounds of a private classic car collection. If you did not attend the show last year then you missed out on a fantastic collection of over 60 pristine classic cars ranging from 1903 to the present day, including the fastest car in the world, plus over 100 petrol pumps and thousands of pieces of memorabilia owned by Robert & Tanya Lewis.  

It costs £25 per car to attend which is going to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

The show sold out last year so early booking is advised.

Enter Panther Car Club on the application when booking then we will all get to park together in the club space I have arranged for us.

This pub is easily accessible being on the A1023  just off the A12/M25  intersection. Opposite a Vauxhall dealership
We  don't always meet as sometimes our day may clash with car shows or other things.

Eastbourne Classic Car Show Saturday 30th April 2022

Bromley Pageant of Motoring Sunday June 12th 2022
I have once again booked a club display at the show in Norman Park. The Bromley Pageant of Motoring show is divided in too many areas including club stands, auto jumble, arena events, military vehicles, motorcycles and the popular one make parking. In all there are over 3,000 vehicles on display. If you would like to be part of this great event the discounted tickets cost £7.50 for car, driver and one passenger it also includes programme & plaque.

The Museum have promised a dedicated pitch for Panther Cars, for which they are asking £20 per car this includes the driver & passenger(s) & entry cost for the Museum, which is a discount on the standard rate.
