Sold Here for sale I have my L/H/D 1974 Panther J72 sports which is totally original, it is showing just 18,400 miles which I believe to be genuine, it has never had any paintwork done but some is now due, comes with the spare key. I am the third owner, starting its life in Florida, the owners name being engraved on the Vin plate, Then to a retired doctor in New York State, I bought it from him, and shipped it back to London, it is now taxed and MOTed and I would be happy to drive it to Dover. Body: Has you can see, still very presentable but does have some issues, the worst being in the photos, mainly the power bulge on the bonnet and the running boards, I am happy to email any addition photos you may want. Running gear: Starts and runs great the overdrive and gearbox work perfectly. Trim: The leather is totally original and shows very little wear. Carpets again original and fine, Hood is good, no rips or tears, the side screens and there holding bag, are all in tact, although they do have a crack in one. The full tounou cover (see picture) is in good condition no rips or tears, but it is faded probably due to the Florida sun. Chrome: All chrome is original and in very good condition. The car has had a more period looking set of side lights fitted, but the original ones are with the car. Summery: It’s hard to cover every part on a car that is 38 years old so viewings are encouraged. It has some good bits and some bad points so I would describe it as original. It is here to be sold. Sold Panther Lima Series1? This is a 1978 S reg Lima thought to be a Series 1 with factory Series 2 upgrades of Dashboard, Bumpers and possibly more. Mileage reading 28k miles but no history. Sold Panther Kallista 2.8i Brooklands Edition Panther Kallista 2.8i Brooklands Edition with just 24,00 miles 1987 I am confident to say this is one of the best examples available of this superb car. In Ivory/Gold coachwork with cream leather interior piped with tan and tan coloured wilton carpets. I have spared absolutely no expense in keeping this car in its original condition with a few minor but sensible upgrades such as a Powerflow stainless steel exhaust system with written lifetime guarantee, polybushes, and header tank to improve cooling system. the engine bay is very clean with polished alloy rocker covers and the plenum chamber has been removed and coated in a bright silver to match. It has just sailed through it's MOT test with no advisories whatsoever and drives superbly. i have a large file full of old MOT certificates to warrant the low mileage of just 24,000 miles along with the original order form for the car from Panther Westwinds and the original bill of sale showing the specifications and extras ordered and the price (paid in cash!!). I cannot emphasise how proud and attached i am to this car and she is only for sale due to personal circumstances and this after a great deal of soul searching,however due to business commitments she is not used anywhere near regularly enough and deserves to be in a home where someone can derive the immense amount of pleasure driving a vehicle like this brings and get her out and about for others to see. priced to sell at £9995 .	2012

Sold Model : PANTHER J72 Colour Original Black & Yellow Year: 1974 Mileage: 18,398 original miles This Panther J72 Series 1 Beam Axle. Drives well but is in need of some TLC it has some cosmetic issues that anyone wanting a pristine J72 will want to address . The black leather seats have faded to grey. The paint shows some cracking and crazing, especially on the right hood and the running boards. The wood grain dash is slightly cracked. I would rate this car a 8 out of 10. An interesting detail of the car is the lights. The owner of the car replaced the front marker and taillights with vintage pieces to make it appear more like an SS100. The original lights will be included with the car. It's not ready for Pebble Beach but it looks great! There are no mechanical issues with it, it could be driven anywhere. All in all it's a great example of the J72. Recently I’ve personally replaced the spark plugs, changed the oil and filter, cleaned and balanced the carbs, and converted the points to electronic ignition. It fires right up and runs great. Based on the Jaguar SS100 and designed by Robert Jenkel, built by Panther Westwinds Ltd, Weybridge, England. These fine motorcars were produced from 1972-1981, please note this was a Specialist Production Motorcar Company and Coach maker, these are Not Kit Cars. The J72 was the first product of the Panther Westwinds Company. It was an exclusive luxury roadster, on par with the best of the motorcar industry in its time. It used mechanicals from the Jaguar Car Company, including the reliable and race proven XK engines. The J72 was a success for the newly formed company, and its Motorcars were purchased by the rich and famous, who were hooked on these glamorous cars which oozed charisma and panache. Indeed one of the major coups for the company was beating Rolls-Royce at the 1973 London Motor Show for its Connolly coachwork. Every Panther built was commissioned by its new owner and all the cars stated on the build plate the name of the person that the car was built for. This beautiful example was built for H. Black (believed to be Senator H. Black of the Carolinas) as the pictures of the build plate show. This rare exotic motorcar is in very nice unmolested original condition throughout. The bodywork is extremely straight, dry and clean. The paint looks all original and as such has a few paint chips and blemishes but as you can see from the pictures these do not detract from the overall great shape this vehicle is in. The leather and wood are in very good condition. The bottom edge of the wooden dash needs some refurbishment but other then this; it would not be difficult to transform this fine motorcar to a show car. Sold Panther Kallista 2.8i Year 1987 (D) Brooklands Green 5 speed manual Condition 1 Will be sold with 12 months MOT Mileage see description Price £7,750 Location Southend-on-Sea, Essex Details: The car has covered 87500 miles, but the engine only around 60000 as I had it modified by Specialised Engines in 1999. The engine was bored out and stroked to 3.1 litres, balanced, and converted to run on unleaded petrol. It also has tubular exhaust manifolds and produces 148 BHP at the wheels which is the equivalent of 195 BHP at the engine (independently measured in 2007). The fuel injection unit has been moved from under the wing to under the bonnet and the back axle ratio has been altered to 3.44 in order that the 5th gear can be used as a normal fifth gear as opposed to an overdrive. It was an ultra-exclusive luxury roadster intended to compete with the best of the 1970's motor industry. It was styled like the Jaguar SS100 and offered with the 3.8 L and 4.2 L XK engines. The J72 was a success for the small company with its Connolly coachwork beating Rolls-Royce at the 1973 London Motor Show. The Brooklands special edition models were all specified with a full leather interior and stainless steel grilles. The particular feature of the model were the hand-painted ‘Brooklands’ motif on the doors and the embossing of ‘Brooklands’ on the internal door panels instead of ‘Kallista’. This car was built for the Panther Car Company as a ‘Show Car’ and is believed to be the first Brooklands special edition to be produced, in January 1987(copy of actual factory build record included). The car was specified in BMW Polaris Silver with interior in matching grey leather with black piping. Numerous factory options were specified including all the stainless steel ones, wider wheels, radio/cassette and ‘Cobra’ seats.
