Gawsworth Hall Youngtimer Show

We have had a Panther Car Club stand at the Gawsworth Classic Car Show near Macclesfield for many years. Usually this has been at the beginning of May, but last year we changed to the Gawsworth Hall Youngtimer Show for post-1970 cars, which was a great success, the weather was warmer than usual and we had a perfect spot on the lawn. We have been invited to the Youngtimer Show again, this year it will be on Friday June 3, which is the Friday in the Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend. The Show starts at 10am, but entrants may arrive and depart at any time during the day from 9am onwards, cost £5 per person, (public entry is £10pp)

All entrants must pre-book. The best way to do this is to phone Gawsworth Hall on 01260 223456, giving them your address, vehicle and card details for payment, they will then post out tickets to you. Bromley Pageant of Motoring Sunday June 12th 2022
I have once again booked a club display at the show in Norman Park. The Bromley Pageant of Motoring show is divided in too many areas including club stands, auto jumble, arena events, military vehicles, motorcycles and the popular one make parking. In all there are over 3,000 vehicles on display. If you would like to be part of this great event the discounted tickets cost £7.50 for car, driver and one passenger it also includes programme & plaque.

Wednesday 8th.June 2022 Depart Plymouth 15.45 for Santander, return from Santander on Thursday 23rd. June.2022 (back in Plymouth at 10.45 Friday)

The first hotel is the Parador de Corias,(above) near Cangas de Narcea for 4 nights. It’s a relatively new addition to the Parador chain, looks amazing inside, and was a 11th Century monastery. Then Toro for 4 nights + a trip or two and wine tasting. Finally Hotel Del Oso, Potes for 6 nights. If you considering this trip or wish to go please let me know. The dates of the event have moved to August bank holiday weekend – 26-28 August. Hopefully the change will mean it will have less likely hood it will rain as it has in the past.
All ticket purchasers will need to create a new account with Silverstone to purchase the car club display package. (two adult admission tickets and one vehicle display pass) details below.
Do note that as the event draws closer ticket offer s change and will only be available for certain dates so good to book early to get the full benefit and be able to choose which days if you do not want to do the 3 days. . Its a great few days with plenty to do and see as well as the racing. The code will be published in the magazine and in the Club members area. but if you would like to book early drop me an email and I will forward to you chairman@panthercarclub.com , I am not allowed to publish on an open site. Only Panthers will be issued with the infield pass so remember when booking tickets to put your Panther details down to get the pass.!

There are two-tiers of pricing for display packages (tax exempt and non-tax exempt).

• There is limited availability of packages at the launch price. Please ask members to book early.
• The unique car club booking code is required at the beginning of the booking process.
• The car club member will be required to complete their vehicle details prior to completing the purchase.
• We kindly request that all display cars arrive by 09:00 to further ease traffic congestion with general admission purchasers.
• A social event for the car club community may take place on the Friday of the event. Details to follow.
• As the event is scheduled for the August bank holiday weekend, the track and entertainment timetable will be extended on Sunday.

Important Dates

• The deadline for purchasing a car club display package is 31 May 2022. Please note that the sale of car club packages may end prior to 31 May if the display areas become full.
• Admission tickets will be available to download in early 2022.
• Vehicle display passes will be posted out two weeks prior to the event date.

2022 we celebrate 50 years of Panthers so I have applied for us to take part in the track parade so a one off opportunity to drive your Panther on the Silverstone track.

If you wish to participate in the Hill climb the club has booked  2 x 45 minutes  spots and you will be advised of times closer to the date but  one must fill in the Panther Car Club

Test Hill Risk Acknowledgement form before you will be allowed to take part on the hill climb.  Those wishing to take part contact me and I will email or send you a form to be

completed and returned to me asap or one can download it from our website or forum. Everyone should get at least two attempts at the hill.

Its important you inform me once you have booked for the hotel and/ or for the Museum so we can make sure everyone is accommodated whether you are staying over or just

attending the Gathering on Saturday.

It has been decided  not hold a Dimer Dance due to costs and also COVID as many are still concerned about being in doors in close proximity to people  and  with current figures testing

positive for COVID so high.  For the safety of all it has been decided to have a casual  social evening  in the restaurant and bar  if staying over and then hold a Christmas event in a hotel

later in the year when hopefully  things are a little more settled.

Anglesey Tour

Hi All, Elwyn and I of area 9 PCC have reserved 16 rooms at the Trearddur Bay hotel in Anglesey for May 9th,10th and 11th 2023.

As we have not been to Anglesey on previous tours in Wales, we thought it would be an ideal place to visit.
