Chasewater 2009

The 1st Chasewater Transport Show. April 2009 The ‘early bird’ Midshire regulars were graced with great weather for this inaugural show. And I guess the 1st public facing outing for PCC Panthers this year ?
And what a great job the organizers did too at this lake side setting. It was a great mix of all kinds of road transport from steam powered to modern day prestige & performance cars. With arena displays from the Fire Service. The primary aim of the organizers was to raise charity monies for the Midlands Air Ambulance, of which over £1800 was raised on the day. Of course for us, it was chance to try out those ‘tweeks’ & service work carried out throughout the winter yet we were local enough (for most) to get home if any problems occurred. My problem was that I’d left my tax disc at home…. Honest !! Only no one believed me. I know there were a couple of other ‘tiny’ issues & easily resolved once home. Just in time for the longer summer outings.
1 J72, 2 Limas & 2 Kallistas. Were in attendance. Occupants being.. Eric & Chris, Maurice & Edith, Russ, Stuart, Mave & me. (‘Helmut’ came too but more about that in the Sandwell Show report !)

Terry Borton.
