Recovery Weekend 2006

Following the success of the chairman’s recovery weekends over the past two years Terry B invited club members to join him for the weekend at the White Hart hotel in Salisbury, with 18 rooms booked it was obviously a popular choice of venue.
For most the weekend started with a guided tour of the magnificent Cathedral with its stained glass windows, chapels, Cloisters and chapter house which houses, under great security, one of the four surviving original texts of Magna Carta.

The group split on Saturday afternoon and whilst some members explored the delights of Salisbury city others drove to surrounding areas to explore some of Wiltshire’s historic treasures such as Woodhenge, Stonehenge and Old Sarum (Old Salisbury) with it’s massive Iron Age Hillfort and the ruins of a castle, Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

During the evening meal Terry B started off the 3rd and last of his Chairman's "Mystery Prize" raffles, with a short speech of thanks to all for joining him on this, his last recovery weekend as Chairman of The Panther Car Club, Alan Shaw then invited several members to rummage in his bag of balls in aid of the 100 club before retiring to the bar for drinks and chit chat.

After breakfast farewells were exchanged as members prepared themselves for their journeys homeward, although some were planning a short delay by way of a visit to the Wilton shopping Village.
